Agarwood trees grow in tropical and subtropical rainforest climates. Daeracheon runs its own farms in Ha Tinh Province in north-central Vietnam and Dong Nai Province in the south, and operates a factory in Dong Nai Province for extraction and distillation.
Ha Tinh has long been known as a source of fine agarwood. It lies at a latitude similar to that of Hainan, China.

Dong Nai factory
Harvested trees are taken to the Dong Nai factory. The wood is trimmed with knives down to the resinated parts, the agarwood is removed piece by piece with chisels, and steam distillation yields agarwood oil and agarwood water.
